While we do not have the facilities to house large weddings or receptions, We have two homes that can accommodate up to approximately 25, and sleep 15 or 16. Our rule of thumb for occupancy is as follows: For houses that sleep 10 or less, you can have twice as many people, but for homes that sleep 10 or more, you can add 10 and that is the maximum occupancy. For example, a home that sleeps 8 people has a maximum of 16, while a home that sleeps 12 has a maximum of 22. We have these rules because these are single family dwellings, they are not meant to have more than the specified amount, also these houses are on septic systems and simply cannot handle volume of more than the maximum occupancy. Also, for any and all weddings or functions a security deposit ranging from $300 to $1000, depending on the particular house, is required.

Another alternative is to have the ceremony and reception elsewhere and rent a beach house for the bride and groom, the family, or the bridal party or all of the above to come back to. Aside from the many beautiful places of worship Galveston has to offer, there are numerous unique and spectacular venues:
